Paul's Cafe, Moscow

I believe I took this photo in 2013. Ken and I were sitting in the now-defunct Paul's Cafe [I think that's the right name] on Tverskaya Street, right around the corner from the Young Spectator Theatre, where Ken would have been shooting a show by Kama Ginkas or Henrietta Yanovskaya in the next hour or two. Kama Ginkas exhibit, Bakhrushin Museum

The Bakhrushin Museum in Moscow organized a big exhibit honoring director Kama Ginkas on his 70th birthday, May 7, 2011. Ken was there to record the event, and Kama called Ken up before the cameras to honor his work, which was part of the exhibit. Photo copyright © by John Freedman.

Pages from an Album

Pages from an Album is an exhibit of photographs that Ken took of productions of Lev Dodin's Maly Drama Theater over the years. It opened at the theater in St. Petersburg on November 10 and is expected to run until January 20 at least. The photos were kindly provided by Dina Dodina.
